Who we are

ADVOJUST was founded in response to an increasing demand for multidisciplinary specialist services, combining legal knowledge and insurance claims adjusting expertise with linguistic skills and cultural understanding, thereby adding further value and creating an unique all-round product for insurers and reinsurers.

The founder of ADVOJUST is Mahir Hamurcu, who is a German and Turkish qualified lawyer, Chartered Insurance Practitioner (ACII) and trained Mediator. He has achieved the Diploma level of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (DipCILA) and is studying towards Chartered Status (ACILA), and also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law as well as a Professional Certificate in Risk Management Banking and Finance as well as completed a (mini) MBA course. Mahir Hamurcu is native in both German and Turkish, and speaks fluent English. After Hamburg, Istanbul, Paris and New York, Mahir Hamurcu had the privilege to enter the London re-/insurance market in 2010, when he joined a specialist firm and was responsible for international liability insurance claims. In 2013, Mahir Hamurcu moved to a leading insurance services provider where he gained significant knowledge and experience in assignments relating to financial institutions (particularly banks), security services companies, construction companies, power plant operators and multinational corporations. Mahir Hamurcu has a proven track record and has been involved in several high-profile "market losses", nominated on various liability accounts and also undertook audits for insurers and reinsurers.
